Event Security Officers are hired for as needed work to provide coverage for contracted events.
This is a perfect position for those that have full time jobs and are looking to make some additional money working as needed for events.
Typical Duties
Security Officer duties vary significantly from site to site. Whether at a set post or on a mobile patrol or a foot patrol, an officer must remain alert and aware of what is always going on around them. Patrols not only keep officers aware of what’s happening on site, but potential criminals know they are being watched. To keep people guessing where an officer will be at any given time, Sheepdog Patrol officers will use random patrol techniques which makes all patrols more effective.

Characteristics
A good security officer pays attention to everything going on around them. Safety is about noticing potential risks and mitigating them ahead of time. Security Officers are thorough, detail-oriented, patient, and calm.
Professional Appearance
Perception matters a lot in security. Clients need to feel safe when they look at you. Customers and staff in client run businesses need to know you are serious. The right professional appearance deters criminals and reassures the public. At Sheepdog Patrol we require all security officers to wear a clean polo style uniform, (Sheepdog polo, black tactical/cargo pants, black belt, all black shoes). In doing so, officers can be very visible to those around them, and also help gain the confidence, trust, and respect of others who view them as an authority figure in charge of their safety.
Experience
Experience is not required but is preferred.
